Itinerary

Day One

Fly to Glasgow, meet your Tour Manager and head to the city, where there will be time to explore before heading to the hotel.

Day Two

Today we'll head to Edinburgh. After a short, guided orientation tour that takes in some of the city's most famous sights, the rest of the day is left free for you to enjoy at leisure.

This evening, make your way to Edinburgh Castle's esplanade for the Military Tattoo performance - a not-to-be-missed blend of music, colour, dance and military pageantry. See massed pipes and drums, dancers and display teams from around the world in a dazzling spectacle, ending with a lone piper on the battlements, silhouetted against the night sky.

Day Three

Today we'll board the ferry to Arran, one of Scotland's loveliest islands. Here, we'll visit Brodick Castle - once the ancient seat of the Dukes of Hamilton and boasting stunning views over Brodick Bay to the Ayrshire coast. Full of history and interest there are guides in each room who will be happy to tell you all you want to know. The landscaped gardens are also well worth exploring.

Day Four

This morning's visit is to the remarkable World Heritage Site of New Lanark, where the Visitor Centre (entry payable locally) tells the remarkable story of this historic cotton mill village. After time here, we'll return to the airport to board your flight home.
